    Reo's 09 Drift Build [full chassis prep + 580whp]

Now, The chassis is an S13 so its not a skyline however it is being powered by a 580 WHP RB27, so i figured this would be of interest to someone here.

For the most updated, consolidated build thread, refer here: http://bc240.com/index.php?showtopic=516

    Last year's car:

    Feb 17th:

Here are some pictures of what i'm doing at the moment:

Yeh... no pics of the actual car yet. Check back in a day or two.

    Feb 21st:

Frame jig is just about done.

    Attaching car to jig.

    Front is attached

Welder crapped out as i was working on the back... <_<

    Big turbo... Probably for sale.

    Feb 23rd:

    Rear is attached

    Feb 26th:

Doors and hatch removed. Subframes removed. gas tank removed. started stripping down interior.

    Mar 2nd:

Finished stripping down the interior today. Getting close to having the underside stripped down. Then its on to the interior sound deadening.

    Mar 4th:

This is Trevor (Aka T-Bag)... i make him do free labor.

    Chassis is just about stripped.

    Mar 6th:

    Further Chassis Striping

    Started Stitch welding

    Mar 7th:

More sanding, wire-wheeling, and welding. My least favorite part.

I'm coating all the seams with zinc weld-thru coating before welding, to prevent rust from occuring behind the welds and inside seams, then wire-wheeling it all off post-welding.

    Mar 17th

Been slow on the updates here... progress has been slow. Wheel wells are a bitch, and i had some other distractions i had to work on.

No one supplied dry ice in town here, so i used this 60lb tank of liquid CO2 with a DEI CryO2 intercooler sprayer hooked to it to get better coverage.

Spare tire area cut out ready for fuel cell.

    Oh Snap, an RB27! Savage...

Stripping the car looks like it sucks balls. Maybe someday when I have my own garage I will do a project from the ground up. Threads like this make me yearn for that day to come...lol

Stripping the car does suck balls. Especially the wheel wells.

    Mar 18th

Started building the structure for the fuel cell

Front fender mods are just about done. Tubbed. Rear extended. all lips either folded or removed. ps: check out the background.

Its actually refered to as a rotisserie... and as the name suggests, its for rotating your car upside down. Makes it much easier to work on as far as chassis prep.
