    AEM WIDEBAND 02
    3.5inch exhaust no cat
    Manual Boost Controller

OK! now the turbo..im looking at this one

And i want a topmount manifold!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so my qustion is can the stock maf handle 300rkwh

and other then that I need a tune but am i missing anything????

    Nice car.

I think they say 400 bhp is the limit, not 400 whp. So 380 wheel is about 460 bhp which would probably kill the tranny fairly quickly. But even 320 wheel would be about 200 bhp more than stock which would be insanely quick. i think the only other thing that would really help would be some Tomei poncams, just to free up the top end somewhat.

What are you using for tuning? Skym could correct me but i think the Nistune board can handle those numbers.

i think you need the Z32 MAF as well for 300+ whp.

hope that helps, its really late so we'll see if this post made sense tomorrow.

    yup lol.
i hear the same stuff, if you want a cheap turbo hound the deisel forums for a holset HX35, turbo is good for bigger numbers than you will see and can be had for around 300 dollars.

Most tuners stick to 400hp at engine with stock RB20DET transmission. Add semislicks or drag slicks and gearbox probably won't last long if you thrash car. Halfshaft's, diffhead's, etc are next to fail.

The record for Nistune + RB20DET (stock piston's, stock crank, stock conrods, stock cams) is around 500rwhp. More than enough for your application. HP is limited by AFM, injectors, stock internals, head.

Options for MAF + Nistune are (at engine) -

    Z32 80mm MAF = 480hp

    Ford Cobra MAF = 500hp

    Ford Lightening 90mm MAF = 700hp -

Ford MAF is better, but finding a dry type podfilter to fit on them???

wow 501. was that all stock internals or just the parts you mentioned? i guess i'll just throw 300 wheel at mine with nistune and just see what happens. I'm starting to get the impression that 20's are damn tough.

If you want to see what others have achieved with RB20DET and different turbo's, mods, etc, look at the RB20 dyno result thread on SAU -

    http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/for...o-t103095.html

Factory RB cast pistons can handle 100hp per piston or 600hp total for engine. That 500rwhp RB20DET is roughly 36hp shy of that 600hp total at engine. Also that RB20DET was rebuilt and had ACL bearings, ACL? rings, metal headgasket, etc, but using stock internals.

Here's the 500rwhp RB20DET engine (ACL bearings, etc are not mentioned in this link) -

    http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/i...owtopic=298289

More pistons a engine has, the higher the hp limit. For example V8, V10, etc. That's why they fit engines with more cylinders in supercars (reliability with higher hp levels).

400hp at engine (with metal headgasket) is safe for a stock internal RB20DET from factory (factory bearings, etc). That's on a high boost setting. Factory bearings can fail due to cavitation (melting surface of bearings) under constant hard use. Use Nismo bearings or Calico bearings (coated ACL bearings, etc) that have a protective coating to reduce cavitation.

This R32 RB20DET runs a genuine 370hp with stock engine with big single, etc. That's 370hp all the time on racetrack -

    How about Q45 MAF?

Similar to Ford Lightening MAF (90mm), but not any better than Z32 MAF in terms of hp (Q45 MAF = 480hp). Nistune can run a Ford Lightening MAF (has the required table data) and is a better option for above 480hp at engine. Those are rough hp estimates.

    thx,

Are the Ford lightning MAF suitable for blow through system? I'm just going to put my Q45 MAF in for now and eventually replace to the Ford one then.
