    needed help(timing gear removal)!!

hi guys. doing an overhaul on my rb20. and ive ran into the same problem i had the first time i got to the timing belt. seems the lower timing gear is seized on and refuses to move. worst part is there is no cleareance to get a gear puller behind it and pull it off. the best i can do is a flat head screwdriver..

you're boned. it just happens a lot to these engines.

i had my engine out when i did mine, and i ended up having to drill off the oil pump, take the crank with bits of the oil pump and that timing gear still attached to a local shop where they hit it with the torch and an air hammer w/a chisel and it was still tricky for them.
I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.

take the block to a local engine rebuilders, you would be surprised what tricks they have
Owning a turboed car is a great way to prevent your jackstands from getting stolen
