so its been 6 months. car is running well with only a rough idle. put a driving permit on it for yesterday and today to get the engine broken in a little and to stretch her legs(its been over a year since on the road). man what a fun day this has been.
first thing to do was give it a good wash. had been outside collecting dirt for a year.

assembled the fan shroud to the rad today and installed it:
theres not enough clearance with the p/s pump in there:
i could just remove the fans and have one big electric fan..but i like this set up to much. so im going to run a electric power steering pump out of a toyota MRII. havn't done much research on it yet but it should be fairly simple. if anyone has any experiance or has found any good threads on running electrical p/s systems in the r32 post it up![]()

I'd say ask M13 and don't run a PS pump at all:P
Yea allot of people run into the same problem. I ended up mounting one fan as a pusher/ and one as a puller fan. I don't have the mishimoto setup but same deal. If you run one big flex-i-lite fan with controller that works 2.
Traction is optional, so are zipties

ive drove it without PS hooked up. nothing i want to get used to.. ya i dont want to use another fan setup. this one is pure sex lol
why run 1 pusher 1 puller?? i was gonne run 2 pullers a pusher fan would just be working against the airflow at speeds.

I had to make it a pusher so that it cleaner the ps lines. So it was mounted on the other side of the rad. Its better then noting/ geting rid of the setup. Its an option I'm saying.
Depends on the kind of $$ your working with.

From what I understand, HICAS ECU controls a solenoid on front steering rack that controls power steering weight as speed increases.
Could fit an old hydraulic type powersteering setup from an older Nissan that increases pressure with speed???? Or maybe a non HICAS R32 powersteering rack, smaller length non HICAS powersteering pump, etc???
This article mentions that you can run a older hydraulic or modern electrical powersteering setup -

Also can modify electrical powersteering setup weight with a device you can buy.
