    The 5 litre eater

    hey,

Been following the site for about 2 years untill i joined about a year ago. By the way is a very helpfull source, well put together. Bought my car in the summer of 2009, and just fixed and maintained it well. I bought my car from silk road auto, in Surrey BC, lol what a nightmare that was, right from the begining. Truck driver was apparently sick the day i was supposed to meet him in Edmonton with no phone call letting me know. Last minute before I left for Edmonton Karim from silk road told me he didnt have time to repair the damaged hood. The interior of car was dirty, And as the driver was driving the car down the ramps he rubbed into the curb twice. The wiring for the accord headlights were wrapped around almost everything under the hood, lol shorting out. And to top it off, he told me the wheel alignment was done, which it was not one bit. Ended up blowing a tire on the way back. But ya, you learn from your mistakes i guess. I've been waiting to go along with this build for some time now. It is a 1992 gts-t type m and has 130,000 km on it. The car came with a 3" exhaust, some cheap rims, fibreglass hood. I replaced the timing belt, water pump, idler pulleys, tensioner spring, spark plugs, fuel filter, and fluids. Going to be pulling the head, cleaning it up, inspecting and installing the cometic gasket kit this weekend. I have a build plan as follows.

    -Fuel pump (Walbro 255)
    -440cc Deatschwerks injectors
    -ARP Headstuds
    -Nistune
    -GT3071R turbo
    -Blitz SE intercooler
    -Apexi power intake
    -Super Spark coil packs
    -38mm wastegate
    -Godspeed top mount exhaust manifold
    -Z32 MAF and pigtail
    -Electronic boost controller
    -Wideband and 02 sensor
    -Godspeed rad and slim fans
    -Boost gauge
    -Exhaust temp
    -Synapse BOV
    -Downpipe
    -AMS ajustable fucas
-AMS front and rear rotors and pads
    -Spec stage two clutch

I probably forgot a few other things, Ive done my research and have a good knowlegde of cars, mechanically inclined, and understand the basics in forced induction cars. If anyone has suggeestions or helpful input it would be greatly appreciated. Will post pics as build proceeds.

lol 5 liter eater. i had that bumper stick on my first gts-t. a stock gts-t will outrun a 5 liter pretty easily. unless its a new 5 liter, in which case that just wont happen

Hey i read on another thread that there might be a problem with the godspeed top mount and a 38mm wastegate, saying that the setup might not be able to discharge your exhaust pressure fast enough to maintain a good safe boost limit. Has anyone else had this similiar problem, and if so please let me know cause im ordering that stuff this week.
