    What is Fault Code 54?

Any ideas as to what Code 54 is? Tried looking it up and the FAQ section tells it is A/T control. Now Im thinking what that means.

No idea on why the code shows now, obviously you have one MT ecu and one AT one though, just run the MT one.

As far as the ecu not showing the trouble you're having, only OBD II systems show misfires etc.

If you run an Auto ecu in a manual car it will give you that code because the lock up solenoid is not there. So it gets confused.

Its entirely possible the RB20 ecu of your friends is an auto ecu. You would never know until you pulled the codes though. The car does not run any different.
