    rb25det type I, type II.....huh

    ok so im reading here and i see two different types of rb25's.... a type I and a type II....is there such a thing or am i reading something false.

    if such a thing exist, it would probably be

    R32 GTS25 = RB25 Type I
    R33 GTS25 = RB25 Type II

    that's the only thing I could see...

    Yes, thats what the difference is...also the neo has top feed injectors rather than the regular rb25's sidefeed. It also came with a gay motor cover....

    RB25DE and RB25DET all come in a few variants...
    first variant without variable valve timing, same PTU as R32
    second variant without variable valve timing, smaller PTU and ignition timing controlled by ECU
    third variant with variable cam timing (often referred to as the series 2 as it was a major variant in power and technology)
    fourth being the NEO engine

    with each one a different ECU was also used.

    An SR20VE has VVL which is Variable Valve Lift and Timing. The "series 2" RB25's and the Neo series RB20's and RB25's all came with VCT, which is Variable Cam Timing.

    my assumtion would be r33 and r34 rb25s are different?
