    Wtf? This cant be right

Its time for the tranny to go on, but there seems to be a general lack of bolt holes connecting the block and tranny. There's only 5 threaded holes total, here's a couple pics. There's only 1 receiving hole that's threaded on the bellhousing (pointing to it in the pic,) and only 4 more receiving holes that are threaded on the block. Bunch of bare holes all around, and they aren't filled by dowels or anything either. What's the deal? Rb20det btw.

I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.

ya to put the tranny on properly its a bit of a puzzle. the one your pointing to actually doesnt touch the block. theres a dust plate that goes in between the tranny and black and what your pointing at is where a small bolt holds it in place

i think the transmission is directly bolted to block in four spots? and then there are two brackets that go on either side and are bolted between bellhousing and block. kind of hard to explain lol

oh and it doesnt help that almost every bolt used is a different length
    good luck!

So there's like 8 bolts total then. For those 2 brackets that go on either side of the engine it looks like they take a bolt from one side attached to a nut on the other. Im going to have to stop by NAPA and see if I can find a couple extra bolts and washers, I've only got a total of 6. These are the assortment of bolts I found. Any idea if its the washered ones that take the nuts.

some do some dont lol its a puzzle man lol it took me lick 20 mins to figure it out and i forget how they go exactly. luckily i bagged and tagged all my hardware,
just remember, the ones with nuts you only want about 3-5 threads sticking out of the nut. any more or less probably means youve got the wrong bolt in there. i had my car on a hoist when i did mine so it definitely made it easier
