disconnect the engine mount nuts, loosen the tranny crossmember bolts a bit, get a hoist and lift up the engine a little, then take off the 26 or 28 little 10mm bolts that go around the oil pan. FSM recommends taking off the strainer's 2 little 12mm bolts with a wrench while taking off the oil pan to make it easier.

oh, and those 2 brackets that bolt the block to the tranny on the bottom might be in the way, can't remember. make sure to wire wheel that oil pan once it's off to get all the 20 year old crap off.

thanks man that sounds a lot easier than just tearing the motor right out to do that cause if thats what the case is than i'm just going to rebuild the bitch!

Definitely not worth pulling an engine to do an oil pan. You'll need some silicone liquid gasket for that oil pan, and make sure you don't lose the o-ring to the strainer in the pan. Its also gonna be messy so have a good drain pan ready.
If you've got other leaks and decide you want to do a rebuild then make sure of two things first.
Have another reliable car to get you to work for a couple months.
Buy EVERYTHING that you know you'll need before you pull the engine. Thermostat, water and oil pumps, gasket kit, engine mounts and trans mount if they're cracked, etc.

And no clue about whether the sensors need to be disconnected or not, but I would if you can. Old brittle harnesses can break easy
