    Exclamation Weird Problem Under Boost

So as I was driving my RB20 today I ran into a very odd problem. I will boost fine up till around 8-10 psi at which point something starts whistling or leaking boost or something and it won't boost any higher. I was boost at 14 psi with my boost controller fine up until this happened. Once I hit 10psi or so, my power drops significantly and it won't boost anymore and that whistling will happen. I tried swapping my bov out for a one I know works fine but that didn't change anything. My spark plugs have under 5k on them but are iridiums (don't know if that matters). Everything is fine up until then. Should I check my ECU for a code? Could it be a broken boost solenoid? Or a broken hose? I am confused and worried for my engine as I don't want to drive it far like this

I would check the boost controller or vacuum leak first. for a quick test try the propane test to look for vac leak. could also be faulty boost controller.

boost controller is fine and there are no vacuum leaks.

your system could have no vacume leaks but it can still have boost leaks.

I had the same issue. There was no leak under vacuum but it wouldnt hold 15 psi. Changed all the gear clamps out for t-bolt clamps, problem solved.

It happened while I was boosting around 14psi and then at the next light, it wouldn't get past 10psi. Also, I don't have an air compressor

i had a similar problem 2 nights ago. check the hose coming off your intake manifold and going down to your intercooler. make sure that hose is on properly and all clamps are tight. i was going 150km/h in 4th gear running about 12psi and BOOM! that pipe blew right off with the clamps still attached. my car stalled and i had to pull to the ditch and attach that pipe again. if that doesnt solve your problem i would turn your boost down before you really get F'd in the A. im only running 6 pounds at 3000 RPM at the moment haha im scared that it will happen again

Fixed it. Loose clamp on a silicone hose on my IC piping. Couldn't notice it last night in the dark but it's bright now and I finally noticed it after the panic lol. Spools up to 14psi normally and holds boost nice
