    Knock issue?

    Since I changed my spark plugs and did a compression test (removed fuel pump fuse, but forgot to WOT when cranking when doing my comp. test) , my engine is running on 5 cylinders when hot (10mins + drive), but before that, all is fine. I checked back spark plugs, put old ones back in, changed the coilpack harness, checked coilpacks all seems fine.

    I guess the cylinder #5 is faulty, because the plug is wet unlike the others.

    I checked ecu for codes, it gave me 34 (knock sensor), then after a reset, tested again for codes, gave 55 (all ok), but the car still runs bad.


    I know it's not easy to diagnose by reading, but if anyone got an idea, that could help me a lot!

    I had a similar issue on my 89 GTST, number 6 went dead after 15 min of driving. Wound up being caused by my AFC Neo being wired incorrectly. Do you have any aftermarket electronics wired in? I found the problem by checking each coil wire right from the ecu to the coil and eventually ran a new wire from the ecu to the bad cylinder. Best thing to do is another comp. test and see if the cylinder is weaker than the rest, make sure to hold the gas pedal to the floor when u crank and 3-5 turns of the motor should be good. Hope this helps!

    I have a boost controller and a turbo timer, that's all. But they were there when I bought the car 3 years ago. I'll try to swap coilpacks, when I changed the plugs I didnt put them back in the same order
