Im wondering how many pounds of boost i can run on my stock fuel system without problems.

Id be more concerned about the turbo if it's oem. 10-12psi max on these ceramic turbos.
If you manually turn up the boost, and that's all, might be runnin a little lean. With changes in air comes changes in fuel. 1psi increase changes things across the board, may not be completely noticeable to you but the car feels it.
my buddy just got his compleetely stock RB20DET tuned an ran 217whp at 12psi and everything is fine. 89% injector duty cycle
im looking to put an aftermarket turbo in and am wondering what kind of boost i can run without changing injectors or anything
i have a rb20det running a t28 ball bearing, i get a miss at 15 lbs of boost thinkin too much for the stock injectors, i dropped to 13ish maybe 13.5 and seem to be doing alot better

Regardless the route you go, the fuel set up is gonna have to be upgraded too. If your going to keep the ecu stock, you might want to look into a greddy profec, or the full step and get a standalone. But to answer your concern, yes you can change the turbo and turn up the boost, just expect the motor to last 12 months. My build last year was a planned $4k which slowly turned into $11k by the time I was done. Do it right or don't do it all, you cant skip steps with these cars. And good tuning too. I've been runnin 20psi on a stock rb25, bolt on everything and fully tuned at 492 rwhp for 14 months now and haven't had an issue. 750cc injectors running at 40% duty cycle. I did 550 km in one day on a country drive, drove for hours, occasionally beating on the car hittin the rev limiter. At the end of the day, spend a bit more and do it right.
stock head and bottom end on you rb20?
Traction is optional, so are zipties

I just got my tuned a as well ahah about a month ago now.. its tuned to 13psi with the stock injectors they are running at 89% duty cycle as well .Im running a T3/T4 54mm Precision Journal Bearing Turbo. So I'd say stay around 12-13psi until you upgrade to at least 440CC injectors. Personally Im going with the RB20DET Deatschwerks 440CC injectors for $329!!!! like come on...$329? cant go wrong and they're a reliable company. thats my .02
