R32 GTS4 steering rack leaking. Rebuild or replace?

I have a 1991 GTS4 with a leaky steering rack. It started losing fluid at a pretty good pace from where the passenger side tie rod comes out.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has ever rebuilt one of these - if so where did they get the parts?

Also wondering, if its just easier/cheaper to put in a used one. Anyone have any leads on those?

i got my GTR steering rack rebuilt, which i guess is the same

cost was 300$ for a complete overhaul
mine was leaking at the head where the pinion
for that price, all the valves and seals where replaced, including the rubber boots, valve seat was polished, tie rod where re-pressed

bring it to any rack&pinion specialty shop


i don't know how much it would be at the dealer, but the shop took 2 days for the job, and i have a 1 year warranty on the job
