    Turbo Questions

    Hello all,

Im pretty much a newbie to Skylines as i have only owned mine for about a year but have just driven it as an occasional driver... Im looking to put some work into it now, HOPEFULLY preparing to be able to send it home to the US... But i have some questions on the turbo...

I HAVE to replace my turbo now as it seems to be blown(smoking) and im trying to find a replacement.. Looking at something along the lines of a GT30 but i want to make sure i have the exact specs i need when i order.

It seems like the R33 GTST has a 5 bolt downpipe flange... all the GT30's i have seen have been 4 bolt... am i looking in the wrong place...

Any other suggestions for turbo upgrages?? If i do a GT35 do i HAVE to go with a top mount turbo?? Let me know

Thanks in advance for the advice

GT30's are definitely a great upgrade. My friend has it on his R33 GTS. And yes as you stated they're 4-bolt flange, meaning you'll need a custom manifold & downpipe.

    Hope that helps.
    Because race car.
