    Thumbs up How to : Wire a Gt-r triple Gauge in a Gts-t (R32)

    Hi everyone!

Disclaimer : I'm not responsable for all you hurt, injuries, blown fuses, fire .....

    So!

When i bought my skyline it has the Gt-r triple din gauge in it but they wasn't wired up! After finding....nothing on how to wire them, I decided to do it myself!

So in this d.i.y i will show you how to :

    -Wire the volt-meter
    -Wire the boost gauge
    -Wire the light

****IMPORTANT*** r32 Gts-t do NOT have the oil temp sensor so this one cannot be wire! *****

    Here we go!

First step: Begin by unscrew the plastic cover that cover the the fuse and ignition wire:

There is 6 screws (red) and 2 bolts (blue)

    Step 2

    Step 3

Once you're done with this unscrew the other plastic cover that has the wiper, light on it. 7 screws

After this unplug all the connector that control wiper, light, hazard

    Step 4

Unscrew the 4 screws that hold up the cluster 2 in the upper section and 2 in the lower section

Then unplug the 3 connector that are connected to the back of the cluster : 2 are white and one is black

We are done for the cluster removal! Lets begin the wiring section!

Our first step will be connecting wire to the right place on the Gt-r gauge

Here is the back of the Gt-r gauge! As you can see it i've seperated it in 4 section,

    -light
    -boost
    -oil temp NOT USED
    -Boost

***IMPORTANT*** Let at least 2-3 feet of wire !!!!

    Light

So 2 wire are need for the light

-I've put 1 red wire to the ill+ and one blue wire on the Ill - There are no screw for these wire so i screwed the light bulb on the wire to make the contact.

    Volt Meter

The Volt-meter also need 2 wire

I've put one red wire on the Ign screw and a blue wire that is a ground.

    Oil temp

    ***NOT USED***

    Booooooooost!!

The boost section needs 3 wire

    Boost + ( red )
    Boost - (blue)
    Ground (blue)

So here is the Gauge itself

After that put all you're wire back in the center console like this

Make them travel all the way to the cluster

    ****WIRING THEM TO THE CLUSTER****

Finding witch wire goes where was not that hard.

    Just follow this picture

The 2 ground are located on the left in green,

The Ign wire is in the center in red

The boost + and - are located on the right side

For The light there are no screw in the cluster so you have to find the wire and tap your wire on them!

They are located in the center connector ( black one )

Its the 2 wire that are on the right

Ill+ (red) tap onto the red/blue wire

Ill - ( blue ) tap onto the black/grey wire

So everytime you will turn you're lights on youre gauge will light on!

And thats it ! You're done! Just replace all back together, be sure that your wire are not rubbing on anything while putting back your cluster on!

Hope that helps you all guys!!

And oh....sorry if im not the best in english i'm a french canadian!

Thanks for reading my first d.i.y

    Frank
