Question about the two hard lines going into the intake

I know that one of the hard lines going into the intake is the pipe from the bov but what is the other?
In the spring I plan on going to front facing plenum and a vta bov so I will be getting rid of that line, and I will be running a map sensor instead of the maf so if possible, I'd like to put a filter just right on my turbo and get rid of all that piping. Can I get rid of the other line, and how would I go about it anyway? I know I've seen pics of people with top mount turbos and not using those lines obviously, but is it easy or worth it to do?

Pictures would help a lot with this "line"...but if I had to guess the other line from the manifold to the intake that you speak of it sounds like the Positive Crankcase Ventilation...which is illegal not to have (in Ontario)

On my old RB20 setup I got rid of the PCV by putting a breather on the manifold end and allowing the valves to vent freely. Illegal, but hey, what isn't anymore.

it does sound like a pcv line just get a catch can and do away with making ur engine breath in that **** air

I had pics but they're gone, and my RB20 is no longer with us lol

But no problems running it. Just get a catch can. I have my GReddy catch can off my RB20 you can have for $100 + shipping if you'd like.

It's best to replace that rubber intake pipe infront of turbo with a hardpipe when boosting engine up. Turbo sucking air in can make that intake pipe crush above a certain boost level. I think it was from 1bar+ with bigger size stock location type turbo. Just weld on boss fitting onto custom intake pipe infront of turbo.

You'll need to design, size catch can properly. Too small in size or not big enough holes, steel wool, etc on the inside of catchcan, it becomes a restriction which blows oilseals on turbo, etc at higher boost levels.
