Steering Rack Question

So with my build in the spring/summer, I've planned on going the lightweight route as well by ripping out the a/c and possibly the whole HVAC case as well as possibly the power steering rack and replacing that with a manual rack. Any input on this? Also, what would be a good manual rack that needs little to no fabrication to fit? My steering is super heavy right now because my rack is leaking and not really working so how would a manual rack compare to this? I will be doing drag racing, auto x and drifting with this car. Also, how does pulling the whole HVAC case sound, bad or good? I got a sunroof in my car so the cooling won't be too bad, and it never sees snow and rarely rain so would I really need a blower motor and ****?

A manual rack would feel exactly the same as yours. Dry steering will be very stiff until the car is rolling. As far as HVAC goes, as long as your car has had all inspections done you'll be fine. If not, leave it be because you need to have it working to pass
