I got a letter from my insurance saying they will no longer have fire and theft on my skyline, just liability. Just wondering if anyone else has this and if not where do you insure your skyline so i can switch. I have phoned all the insurance companies in Airdrie where i live and they all have dropped such coverage as well.

I got a letter like that from a branch of ING. It said my collision coverage was dropped.. I'l be switching this spring aswell. Have you tried state farm?

on my white gts-t 4dr i got a letter from ING saying the same thing back in october,

but since i had just bought the car, they said i had untill oct 2008 of full coverage till it drops to plpd only,

having no fire and theft is just ********

i don't see how they can do this, but they are

my broker, has 2 companys avaliable to them, ing and someone else, they said that ing is only doing this for skylines where their other company is doing it for any and all jdm rhd vehicles

my one friend thru ing on his jdm MR2 was told the only way to get any coverage was to have a $2500 deductable, now thats ********

My insurance is the same $2500 deductable it was the only way to get it insured but I do have fire & theft. I just hope they don't change anything when I have to renew my policy with them in April.

ING dropped my coverage to liability unless I got an appraisal. Then they would cover to that amount. I only drive the car on weekends once in a while so I figured Id wait till all the mods are done and it gets repainted before I do the appraisal.

my deductible is $5000 and i needed an appraisal just to get coverage, and now every year i will need a garage inspection to put it back on the policy.
Insurance sucks the big one, someone start a company for jdm vehicles haha

AMA wouldnt even offer me fire and theft on my car, so how is it that you got it?

Just posted this in another insurance thread but talk to Kay at statefarm insurance 403-279-3133 She's really good and got me my GTR with collision for $135/m $1000 deductible
