Hi, i am thinking of picking up a GTR and i was wondering, How is the insurance rates in BC? im already paying $350 a month for my 08 jeep insurance, but im going to sell that, so around how much is a skyline? and do many of you get hassled by the police about DOT stuff (I would make it DOT legal anyways) and also, how is aircare to pass with a slightly modded car?

I pay just over $100 a month for my Skyline with 5 million liability, theft, fire, vandalism, replacement car, etc. $350 a month is crazy, did you crash into a schoolbus or something?

In langley you dont get hassled at all man..
I live right near WC blair, by the Cop shop..
I drive by cops all the time..
I have no Front Plate..
never had an issue..

and Insurance rates are way cheaper..

Skyline rates are the same as like a 91 Civic.

is it 4x4 jeep as well? i know that will bump your insurance rate up

insurance for the GTR is not that bad in BC...

ok. thats good to hear. i thought maybe since they are RHD you would get hassled alot by the cops. im porbably gonna go take a look at a few within a few weeks then. thanks guys

the only reason why you would get hassled by the cops is either

you are driving like a moron
or
the cop is a jerk off and has a chip on his shoulder

the last insurance broker i dealt with said ICBC doesnt have a skyline in their computer, on my insurance it just says 1990 Nissan... so i think you get charged the same as like a maxima or micra or something lol... Dont tell them though, that seems like it would be an easy money grab for them.
