    Question

If a car is under 15 years old (let's say 14 years and 10 months) and it is imported into Canada, what happens to it? Is it destroyed/exported back or can it stay at the dock for several months until it becomes legal for importation?

well im pretty sure it gets refused and impounded but letting a car stay at the port for a while is a bad idea. they decided to call me a couple weeks after my car arrived and said "your car has been here for X amount of days. you also owe us X amount of dollars for storage and we wont release it untill you pay your storage bill." so basicly i had to have a family friend who moved to vancouver drive down there to straighten everything out and pay my storage bill. i suggest avoiding this hassle and importing a car that is leagle and make sure you can get the car asap.
