    FMIC compliance

My car is pending certification, and I have a front mount intercooler that has the piping that requires the hole underneath the battery. would the hole make it not pass the inspection? Thatss what there saying, they have not looked into it yet. This is in Saskatchewan.

    Thanks!

they should only have a problem with cut or chopped bumper rebar or missing rebar from installing FMIC's... the piping does not affect the structure or the safety of the car

I know a guy who got issued a Vehicle Inspection by a cop because "his radiator was sticking out of the bumper!" Was actually hi fmic but the officer woulnt budge when he tried explaining it.

I swear its cause vancouver cops have a ticket quota or something. Either that or something to prove. I got a ticket for putting on my hazards in front of a hydrant. I ran in to my jamspace to get an instrument and came out, the turbo timer was still going... go in my car and left, got pulled over 4 blocks later and handed a no stopping ticket thru the window. I asked why cause I wasn't parked there for more then a minute and he said "I had enough time to write the ticket". Yeah well AFTER you pulled me over 3 blocks later. Meanwhile my girlfriend gets into a hit and run, and the cops take an hour to show up to the scene while shes standing in the middle of oak & 70th with a written off car. :hit_head:

Oh by the way if anyone saw that accident by a fluke chance or knows someone with a grey mitsubishi thats missing a rear bumper because of a flimsy story, can you PM me?

Well I finally got off my ass and got this vehicle passed.

A week ago I decided to get it certified at a run down shop but they gave me another list of things to do , for example they told me I needed d.o.t tail lights , also a rear wiper blade . The most rediculous one was they told me I had a ignition computer error because they couldnt turn the car off, apperently some shops still dont know what a turbo timer is...

So with all of that b/s in mind I went and got the silly thing reinforced and the previous shop gladly passed it with only one headlight working and fender rub.

Now that the experience is over I feel confused, if they passed it like that then why didnt they just take the bribe in the first place?
