im startin to get mad...

so i picked up my 1992 skyline gts-t a few weeks ago from calgary, drove it to Yellowknife, NWT ( thats home).. i get it insured, i got my form 1, i go to get the car registered, and im told by registries that i need "permission from the DMV to get the car registered"... so i go to to the DMV, and im told that they cant give permission for me to register my car bcuz it's unsafe... and that i cant swap out my headlights from another vehicle to pass inspection, and that they have to do the inspection (which they cant, bcuz Canadian Tire is the only place in Yellowknife that has the Stamp to inspect imported vehicles) and now their goin to do an investigation on me and my situation that they are trying to sort this out, so basically im their "guinea Pig".. now what i find funny about this is that there are about 5 other RHD vehicles in town that are crusing the road.... WTF!!!!!!!!!

no u read right... i do have the car insured, once i got my insurance, i had to go to motor vehicle registries, to get my plate and their the ones that told me i need permission from the DMV to get registration

Oh right.. LoL Im not used to the way other province are..

You cant insure (Unless its a day permit) without plates in BC>

Other Provinces do things differently because their Provincial Government doesn't insure cars. Insurance is private, vehicle registration is Government.

got a bit of an update.

Went and talked to the DMV again on last friday, and said that their "investigation" is almost done, they said they will let me put my car on the road, but once they get their inspection sheet done for RHD/imported Vehicles for the NWT, which hopefully i will get this week..
