SGI Ban of RHD = False

Just got off the phone with Steve from SGI Vehicle Standards. I asked him if SGI is in the process of Banning RHD's which would seem to confirm the rumour that has been floating around Saskatchewan.

Steve told me that as far as SGI goes, they are not in any process of doing anything about RHD's. However there is a growing concern in the public about the safety of the vehicles.

He told me that before SGI can do anything they have to start gathering data. So, this means SGI has taken no action towards RHD's. So, Now you can tell everyone that tells you SGI is banning them, that they aren't. Just thought I would share.

there is nothing unsafe about the cars, even being RHD. It's the drivers.

That would be a flimsy excuse.
In Japan LHD and RHD have co-existed for a long time, with no discussion of safety or otherwise.
Japanese toll booths even have LHD ticket dispensers.

Good point daryl. I think since were all about equality and not to touch a nerve but giving the crying baby what it needs in terms of complaints regarding equal treatment. They are so desperate for support people cry and cry about everything and they listen to everything but the real issues, why not toughen gun crimes so my kids dont have to walk down the street to buy a 9mm. Increase police presence so the kids who loiter in my front yard drinking beer right now will leave. Catch the people who rape and harm little children instead of caring wether my RHD car is safe or not. The breaks body strengths and manufacturing quality of these cars are top notch. In comparison to there american counter parts. I want a mcdonalds that can help me on my side, I want to go to the air port or hospital or parking lot without having to get out of my car to get the ticket, **** where is my god dam equality I pay my taxes all my bills insurance and gas I want to drive my car **** OFF!

+1 ^....I dont understand why politicians are so hooked up on this issue. It's an RHD, accept it, suck it up and get over it! Canadian government seriously has no better cause than to target vehicles that are different, they're so moronic, it's incredible.

LHD and RHD have co-existed forever, look at Europe! I have even talked to some english guys i work with and they never had a problem with driving RHD on LHD roads.

The canadian gov't puts to much time and money into things that shouldn't have any time or money into them. If they stopped trying to emulate the crappy US gov't, things would be alot better.
