    Importing

Im going to be importing a GTS-t Soon, Do i have to have a Customs broker or can i do the forms my self..
Also. When it arrives in Vancouver, do i have to get it towed to the Shop for the Inspection? Can i drive it there?
Does anyone have any good shops that can do that inspection, for a good price.

    Thanks

I dont know how BC works, but in Ontario you are entitled to one pre-registration ten day trip permit.

You can do the paperwork for customs yourself, but it is much easier to go through a broker.

If I had my file, i would look it up right now.

My broker charges were 3Gs on a GTR... (they pay GST + DUTY + customs fees for you). I would say no more than $1,000 MAX.

The actual cost for a broker isn't much, less than hundred sometimes, but its all the other stuff that kills you.

PM me and i'll give you the contact info for my Customs broker.

Yah brokerage fees are nothing, I just found the file and it was a bunch of little crap that added up.

I used A&A Contract Customs Broker
    http://www.aacb.com/

They were pretty good, not sure if they are "the best", but still.... they did the job well.

Ok your in for a GREAT surprise, there are tow shops that i have visited and inquired about in BC...ones in abbotsford, one is right in downtown vancouver...One is scimotors.com the other is www.Cannonball-r.com

Now Cannonball seems to have THE best customer service for importing these skylines...They have access to over 90% of the japanese auctions, they're head office is located in japan. They pick the best ones and import then sell them off here, theres no middle man no broker charged jsut pay for a skyline, alrayd isnpected already to be insured only extra things you have tp pay, is the 7% gst when registering the car with icbc. Also they come with a 6month free warranty in case sumthin goes wrong, but they pride themselves in giving you a car you can drive off and not have to return..unless you want to modify The guy i talked to Takahashi or sumthin like that was very helpful, if theres a sepcific car you want, they'll sit down with you, look at the site where they pick the cars and you can choose one, they'll import it, and its yours. Prices are ranging from 10-14k for a GTS-T (immaculate) and 19-25k for a GTR...hope that helps...
