    Attn Wawanesa F*ck You!.

After my 2 years of loyal on time insurance payments of 340 bucks hoping that I will be getting a break similar to that of my brother 100 dollars off monthly ( he went from 350-250) Instead the raise it. by 8 dollars. No big deal but god damit I wanted a god dam lower rate for f*ck sakes. I pay a **** load because of my age and the type of car you would think they would throw me a bone to say thanks for paying a **** load to the tune of half the cars value. But no.
SO now I got to go in tomorrow and talk to them cause this is B.S if they dont want to then I may aswell go find a new broker. Anyone have any references or good people to deal with ?
    Thanks
    Steve

19 but it does not help i live in mississauga, if I drive 10 minutes down the road my insurance drops 94 dollars in etobicoke. My insurance went up when my neighbours car got stolen a year ago. They told me its not a high risk area cause someone left the keys in the car and go figure someone took it.
    Gotta love em

I think it goes by where you live and not by where your broker is based. It's funny though because Etobicoke is 5kms down the road from Mississauga yet its "safer" :hit newb:

Why would your insurance go down?
19 isn't really one of those ages where insurance drops from what I can remember. Now you're legally allowed to drink, and are probably a higher liability statistically because of that fact.

It usually goes down a bit at 18, 20, 25 and whenever you get your full license - from what I remember.
Insurance companies don't really care about customer loyalty, that's more of a broker thing and all that will get you is some kindness when you're in a shitty situation.

I am fully licensed and was told I will see a noticeable decrease this year but I think they were just playing kind music so I would continue buisness with them. Its annoying because nothing that comes normal from other companies seems to work with this one. Everything seems back ass words.
Im calling around to see what other people are saying

You should be calling around every year before your renewal anyway.

Hmmmm, there were some changes a while back to Alberta insurance that affected our rates....mine went down a minuscule amount (I'm still on the grid market, etc, blah blah blah), but my parents insurance went up by like $50 per year. (perfect drivers, maybe 1 ticket in 3 years, no accidents or claims in > 5 years [which I believe they only care about within 5 years])

Really, the amount is nothing, but it's the principle of the thing, right? And with the new policies, rates were only supposed to go down......so my mom called AMA, and told them what happened, and they adjusted the rates back to what they were before.

Might be worth a call to your broker? ....if you haven't tried that already.

Edit: also, if you check out your policy breakdown, you may find that your liability dropped (rating went up due to age increase), collision dropped (rating went up), and comp stayed the same (value of car generally, and car rating), and some random SEF that was recently changed (or added?) went up.....and generally the costs of those SEFs are the same for everyone, regardless of their rating.
