    Insurance questions

I'm going to be leasing a VW TDI clean diesel next month. Sure shitty car but 1100km/55L of fuel vs 350km/65L I'll take it. It will be my DD for 2 years. It will not be in my name. Nor will the insurance be. But I will somehow have a connection to be able to drive it. Around June's time, I will hopefully have the GTR in mint condition and back on the road. So what I am curious about is: What kind of deals are you guys getting for two cars insured? What kind of insurance policy's cost less but only allow a certain amount of km's per year? How much does that cost and how many kms do they allow? " cough #$%r0llback#$%cough"

there's a few things that determine your rates:

    1. usage - pleasure use is cheaper than daily usage. you're limited to i think 12k or 15k/year.

    2. location - where you live has an impact. certain neighbourhoods are more prone to theft than others.

    3. you - your age, driving experience and record.

    4. the car - insuring a brand new jetta will NOT be cheap by any means. you can save a bit by being a 2nd driver. also, a multi vehicle discount will save 10-15% per car. alarm will shave off another 10%.

personally, i think insurance is a waste of money and refuse to pay high rates anymore. thats why i drive old cars lol.
