From what I know, they are DOT approved, as long as they can be properly secured, they should be good to go.

My friend has a '98 S14, those headlights make the car look sharp as hell, and REALLY pissed off hahaha

i think they are too long for the skyline and wopuld have to be cut down, which then opens the housing up making them non compliant

look at the thread I'm trying to get up, it's slow to get the pieces up or you can see it all at R33 Hicas lock out bar

Install Audi Bi Xenons which are DOT.

they still wont pass. the lens is still not DOT and since its the only glass there... and you cant see the DOT stamp on the audi projector. that wont pass a BC VI.
    looks good though!

I'm not exactly sure. It seems like it is DOT to replace the projectors or add projectors that are E-Code or DOT. Jz Garage, Terra2 Imports, Japanoid (on some of their vans), and Clear Corners in the US all all modify there headlamps by adding sealed beams or projectors with the OEM plastic cover. It will pass in BC because rockcrete did it with his N1 lamps. This does produce the correct beam pattern because the clear plastic only acts as protection. The only time the plastic (or in some cases glass) covering the lamp actually modifies the beam pattern is when it has what is called "flutes and prisms" on the cover of the lamp.

yup. check out rockcrete's you can see the DOT stamp on the projector. and its not just the projectors that are replaced, if im correct its the 95 camaro high beam that gets swapped in as well, which has DOT on the glass. and the reason it only works with GTR projectors is because there is no beam pattern on the lens for the low beam (projector). i also checked into it, according to the handbook or whatever for 2009 any lenses with japan markings on them is supposed to fail. so they need to see DOT on them.

I did the Rockcrete method in Kamloops and just didn't put the glass on until after the inspection gave it a thumbs up. You can have the self enclosed lamps with no glass.

You'd really have to piss off the wrong person for them to ticket you after putting the glass back on, never been pulled over yet in my gtr in Kamloops. Just a thought.

rockcrete also verified with the higher ups that since the GTR lens does not affect the beam pattern it can be re-installed. it is considered just a clear headlight cover at that point.
