    Crossing border with skyline

I want to cross the border next week with my gtst.
The obvious upgrades are that its lowered, body kit, front mount intercooler (with trimmed rebar), blow valve that is currently disconnected but still welded on (clearly visible)

My question is: Will I have problems crossing the border and coming back to Canada

I plan to stay there for a week to New York City and Atlantic City from April 26 to May 2

Some info: I am the primary owner of the vehicle as I am the primary insurance holder as well

Please any info or personal experience
By the way, I want to rent a car but I would have to pay a underage fee because I'm under 25

If any one knows a rental place where I can rent a car for a week at a cheap rate let me know

My understanding is as long it is legal for where it is registered, and your ID is in order (Passport or Birth cert. and Drivers Liscence) you will be good to go.

my buddy was in jersey city for 3 days, 2 nights, 3 weeks ago. he was in a G35c, his bro in a R32. 35 done up very nicely, 32 bone stock. the 32 was broken into overnight, all they took before the kid came out was his steering wheel, he had a quick release hub. kids these days eh.

NY/NJ with a Skyline, id be extremely careful. my buddies have also looked into, believe it or not, renting a unit at a Public Storage location for the weekend, storing it there every night and getting whoever else is with them to drive them back to the hotel. sounds pretty cool.

Ive been over the border twice thru Buffalo in my HCR. Once for a Cheap Booze run and the other for the Chicken Wing Fest. Both times I had no problem whatsoever, they didnt even acknowledge the skyline. Officer just wanted IDs and reason for visiting.

I just got back from a week long roadtrip into the states (I went to deal's gap) and I have probably crossed the border at least 30 times in the last 12 months in my GTR.

    Zero problems, ever.

I've had a few "minor" issues but I've never been able to get through. Most of the time they are just curious about the car or whatever.

Having a passenger almost seems to make it go easier!

I've crossed the border a number of times in two cars different cars. I don't go over very often but 1/3 times they've asked me to wait while they look inside the Skyline and interestingly enough 2/3 times they do it with my BMW.

I attribute that to going across at the Point Roberts crossing though where they have nothing better to do than inspect peoples vehicles.
