id say alot of those accusations are ridiculous...but i can guarantee that the government will listen to the CADA before they listen to us and the IVOAC...

i say we stage simultaneous protests across canada in all the major cities on the same day...

call it the national RHD day..

    or NRHDD...

i say we find the first day the first R32 GTR rolled off the assembly line...and dub it "the day" and plan for an event in the most public cities in our provinces...

    whos with me?

where do these guys get the facts from? do they really think everyone drives new cars in canada or is it the imports that are only 'dirty' that we have to worry about. How is a RHD 40% more likely to get into in accident? relative to what? Why don't they look at the average # of accidents relative to the total amount of cars on the road... this data should require a bit of logic no?

I'm getting tired of hearing about BS like this. I helped out a bit by contacting MP's and pledging for them to reconsider these things but it seems like a lost cause. go ahead, raise the age limit to 25 years, at least then my car will hopefully increase in value, and i can put an end to the dirty looks and stares i get from owning a RHD

The main reason this looks like a coordinated effort against us is one man. Jimmy Pattison.

His ex #2 man is running ICBC and there are many upper management types at ICBC and the CADA that swap positions every 5 years or so. They are all in bed together and want a monopoly on any and all car sales in BC. They have even started to really crack down on part time curbers (ones that sell about 5 cars a year). Yet the really bad car dealerships that are well known to sell nothing but lemons and blatently deceive/ripoff people manage to run under the radar for far to long before they get shut down. I guess as long as they are paying the CADA their membership payments it's all good.

-ICBC selling repaired cars and SUV's to themselves for next to nothing
    -CADA protecting horrible dealships
-N/A auto makers are WAYYYY out of touch with what we want and want to pay
-The used car market in BC is rediculously overpriced (there is a GTO sitting at Zimmer/Wheaton right now for $40,000 )

What a steaming heap of horseshit.....

I know. we can't compete with them as a whole. especially after all the negative propaganda theyve been dealing to the public. the public eye see's RHD owners as the bad guys on the road, next to street racers and drunk drivers (even though dui kills thousands each year, while street racing deaths last year were under ten, street racing somehow becomes criminal while DUI is socially acceptable). if we can't educate the general public about our concerns, politicians either wont care or are against us, and protesting doesn't work, we're left with no options but to submit to the 25 year rule. it was a good run while it lasted though, got to see a lot of cool cars these past few years.
