As long as you have all of the proper paper work you just have to go to the licensing office and tell them that you imported this car and want to get an ownership for it. It's pretty easy... as long as you have everything.

After that it's just a standard safety, same as any car.

For e-test, tell them to run it as a "grey market" car, but bring your import papers to show that the car is from another country... they may ask to see them.

once you have those two passed, get insurance and take your ownership, safety, e-test and proof of insurance into the licensing office and get your plates.

So i dont have to get an out of town inspection, just bring all my paper work to the mto, then once i get my ownership(it will be not fit), then i get my car towed to get safety,as i would any other car, then get it towed to get e-test and bring all my paper?...thanks for fast reply.

I sure hope you've looked into insurance before going thru all this.....

Anyways, every MTO office seems to be different, especially if they don't do many JDM's.
PM Matty at Rightdrive and just ask him which office they use. His shop may also be able to do the VIN verification but not sure on that part.

    Just make sure you have:

    Customs import "form 1"
Export certificate (both Jap, and *certified* translated English versions)
Bill of sale from your exporter.
    VIN confirmation letter (sometimes)

This should get you an "unfit/unplated" ownership.

Add the safety, etest, and insurance to get your full fit/plated card.

    Hope this helps.
Also, avoid making 4 threads on the same subject. People are trying to help you out here but don't piss off the mods...
