    Question Out-of-Province Vehicle Inspection

My R32 just arrived in British Columbia from Quebec by Searail. I went to an Autoplan insurance agent to register the car in British Columbia and he told me I told to get an out-of-province vehicle inspection. The car is legally registered in Quebec to me and I have the Quebec registration. Where can I go to get the car inspected? I called a few areas and they said they didn't inspected "special" cars like this one. They also told me I might have to change my headlights? I have Accord headlights available to put on the car to pass inspection. Would I need anything else? Also as I mentioned earlier, where do I take the car to get inspected? How long might it take? How much does it cost for the inspection? Any help on this would be great... Need to legally get my car on the road ASAP. Thanks in advance for your help everyone!

Do a couple of searches on the forum. There`s lots of good write-ups in the Legalese and Western Section forums. You're going to need a third brake light, and side marker lights installed, as well as those accord headlights. Kind of a PITA but doesn't look too bad when you're done. Other than that, any shop that has a sign out front saying ICBC Certified will be able to do the out of province inspection.
Stay away from Canadian tire and Nissan. Neither are know for being very forgiving on Skyline inspections

Do you know of any specific place that can do an inspection on a Skyline? Any easier way to do the inspection without changing all that stuff? I'm just gonna put all the old stuff right back on as soon as inspection is passed anyways...

I had mine inspected about four or five years ago now, and even then it was hard to find a shop that wouldn't ding me for at least a couple of those things. I ended up going to a sketchy HA owned shop on the island and I wouldn't recommend going back there. You pretty much have to do these things now unless you can find a member with either their own shop or a close relatives shop anyways.
The side markers you're prolly not going to be able to take off. The third brake light is probably not worth the time and effort taking back off. And cops (especially the ones around Vancouver) are hazy at best on the import and inspecton laws, so if you don't do the accord head-light swap, chances are you're getting pulled over, and even if you do do the swap, I'm sure you'll get pulled over anyways cause they won't know the difference.
Also, where about's are you moving to in BC. Vancouver?
