    Province to Province

I've tried searching, but didn't seem to find the answer to my question, when living in Quebec, if i buy a skyline from say Ontario, will it still be a long process like the one detailed in the stickied thread about how to insure the cars, or can it be done like a regular car?

Also, if i buy one from Quebec while living in Quebec, does this change the process? If so, How so?

You can not insure/register any car in Quebec if it was not plated before the ban. So no, you will have to find a car that is already plated in Quebec.

the only hope of the ban being removed is by people like yourself makin it happen... talk to your MP and politicians, join a support group like www.ivoac.ca and do something about it...

I hate to bring up an old thread/topic, but i can't seem to find the answer to one specific question i have ( I've searched a good 30 minutes for it, lol) but anyways, to the point. I understand I can't import and legalize a RHD vehicle cause of the ban ( can't have them inspected, etc) but cause a vehicle that is already in the province and plated doesn't require an inspection if its sold to someone else, can it be insured? does anyone know? or do i have to call insurance company's to find out?

also, just to clarify this for myself, if you bring your car into a garage, can they still do routine maintenance on RHD's? ( like brake jobs or spark plugs (just an example)) or are do you have to do everything at home kinda thing?

^^ yes, cars that were plated before the ban can be sold to anyone else in the province with no issues. However because of this, prices have gone up.

And no, you can take it anywhere to get work done.
