Anything on Sask?
Hey,
I have a question I am currently getting a car from quebec. What all has to be done once I get to bc with the vehical? It Allready has been registered and everything in Quebec and the guy I am buying it from thinks he still has the jap de registration papers
Awesome thread! This just saved me like 2hrs searching around the Alberta Registries web site and then cross referencing it with the skylines haha.
Phew.......![]()
Update for Sask:
You will need:
-Out Of Province inspection which requires:
*DOT headlights
*Rear red sidemarkers that light up
*Front amber sidemarkers and have the sidebulb in the corner light, light up when the headlight switch is either in park lights or low beam
*Third brake light (if it's a GTR)
*DOT tires
*Daytime running lights
*Then all the obvious stuff like no leaks, no loose suspension components, no worn out brakes/tires.
Also, I had an issue with having aftermarket suspension (coilovers). Because of this, the camber and caster of my car, since it was lowered, was out to lunch and could not get my car into alignment specs. I had to raise my car up, thanks to having adjustable suspension, so that my car could pass the alignment check. Keep this in mind if your car comes with coilovers.
There isn't anywhere in the SGI manual, atleast not yet, the talks about a clutch safety switch. If you fail for it, either take it to another shop or have the tech show you in the manual where it states that.
then after safety you'll need:
-Passed OOP papers
-Form 1 paper
-Bill of sale
-Pay PST (5%) if you haven't yet
That is all. Goes pretty smooth at SGI too with their updated computer system. They just scanned all my docs into their system, asked me a few general questions, and I was out the door in less than 15 minutes.
