From Nagoya Exciting Car Showdown 2011

The annual Exciting Car Showdown presented by Option Magazine was just last weekend. A truly one of kind show with all proceeds going to charity. This is atleast how Option magazine owner and creator Daikiro Inada likes to do things

Have a boat load of photos and will lay them in over the next few days.

Would like to start by sharing this very well sorted BNR32 from Pro-Stock racing. Car is picture perfect from every angle.

Then this one from Line Up Garage. An HCR32 GTS25 which has some nice circuit appeal to it.

After speaking with the owner he let me know the motor was still the 2.5 block from new which had seen some overhaul work. Tomei pistons, valvetrain and Apex cams. Management by Haltech.

And the office side of things.

Here is another well known car, the BNR34 from Global Auto. They've had this one for several years now. I can see however they've updated the doors to CF and now running SL TE37's.

And just one more....but lots more to follow guys.

hahaha Josh I was gonna say theres your car. Great pictures, I love the stripped out R32 (weird obsession with gutted track cars loool)

Edit: is there any difference from the R32 and R33 rad? Other than the different spot of the holding brackets. Both R32's above have them.

Thanks guys. Quite happy with the results. Used a tripod for all of them.

    Some more from the show.

Starting with this UCF10 with late face. Enkei wheels make this thing look so stealth. And the 2J helps too lol

From Motorfix. These guys stuffed a 1UZ in this little bugger. Nice work on the mani's and throttle as well.

From Friends racing, a newly built BNR34 for 0-400 use. Owner said it'll go 7's...not sure about that one. But whatever, it looks solid. Motor shot turned out poor....sorry.

Its 2011 and this Fortune model from Veilside still looks the part. God bless this design forever.

Another S15 wearing TE37's SL's. And do I see a Derive Tomei SR20 in there. Big coin on that motor.

From Origin this 180SX with a custom carbon / matte panel finish. Stood out so nice in person. Wouldn't want to be the owner. Too afraid of chipping it up.

And one more from Origin. Slammed S15 with some smoken camber added. That's why you run cheap tires on well cambered cars. Because you will wear out the insides in no time flat.

Great to see Euro motors on hand.

    And this NA2 from Esprit.

Not positive, but I believe this front end was offered for like a half year before Honda wised up and shipped the short lived facelifted model to North America.

One more recent creation from Veilside, the 4509 GTR. This car took top honors at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon. Well deserved really.

Few more to weed out here this week.
