    Reflections-Detailing Portfolio

The car was a good customers personal daily driver. Not having it parked in a garage, and lots of trees meant it was dirty and contaminated. Also, most likely brush washes and improper wash techniques were used. Paint was corrected about 75%.

    Wash
CG CWC+ Zep Citrus Presoak (4:1)
    MF Chenile for paintwork
    Grout Sponge for lower half
    Diamondite Bug Remover Presoak
    Bug Sponge
    RG for badges and seams
Peanut Butter (for the wax on rubber- worked wonders)

    Wheels
    RG Wheel Brush
    RG (SV Style) Brush
    Brown Royal 2:1
    MF Mitt (wheel face)
    EZ Detail Mini (behind spokes)

    Clay
    ONR Lube
    Ricardo Yellow

    Polish
    PCXP
    LC 5.5" +4" Orange
Menzerna SIP (left the finish great on the hard paint, but also removed a good amount of defects)

    Sealant
    Menzerna Power Lock

    Interior
    ZEP High Traffic Carpet Cleaner
    Brush
    PB Natural Look
    Meguiars M40
    APC 10:1
    Croftgate Leather Protectant/Conditioner

    Befores:

    During:

    Foamed with Brown Royal 2:1

After a few short passes! Yikes...

Polish needed some QD to being removed fully

Much better! No more damage (almost)

    Good clarity in the trunk!

Much better than that mess on the hood before!

    Hmm... That seems quite heavy.

    Gone!

    Afters:

    Interior:

Thanks for Looking! If you have any questions feel free to ask and I can help you out!

I don't think it matters much....just detail one Skyline and then you'll be good.

    Nice work.

This car belonged to the wife of my previous customer. He wanted the same type of service offered. The car was hammered! After test spots with M105 being hit a few times, the rids were just too deep to be safe. The rear bumper also had way too many dings, and rough exposed areas that my pad would tear over them. Deep scuff on the passenger side that is a large line and through the paint into exposed metal worries me about rust.

So background info on the paint hardness- this thing is rock hard! M105 finished LSP ready with an orange pad (best balance of defect removal vs. gloss in this case).

    Wash
    2BM
CG CWC+Zep Citrus Presoak on lower panels
RG Detail Brush on vents and badges
    Bug Sponge on front bumper

    Wheels
    Tires- ZEP Citrus 2:1
    Wheels- ZEP Citrus 4:1
Dressed with Opti-Bond 1:1 with a Purdy Brush (next best thing to a Pneu Brush)

    Clay
    Ricardo Yellow
    ONR Clay Lube

    Polishing
    PCXP
    LC Flat 5.5", 4" Orange
    M105

    Exhaust
Scotch Brite with OPT to remove the caked on residue and it created a clean stainless-steel look
Optimum Metal Polish on Dremel with felt tips (restored the gloss to factory)

    LSP
    Glaze- PB Black Hole
    Sealant- Menzerna Power Lock

    Befores:

Through the paint Nothing I could do on the edge

    The "other" guys pro detailing...

A side view of what's in store for the next morning

German brake dust! Don't breath this

Let's see what we can do

This thing has a lot of carbon buildup

Really should take more interior befores... It was like this in all four corners+coffee stains

    During:

    Top cleaned with APC 10:1

After a wash...Whats really lurking under!

    The obligatory 50/50 shot :

    Afters:

    Dripping wet!

    Swirls B Gone!

    Tight beads

    Mats are drying

    Zebra under the carpet? Overkill?

    Still some defects left... err!

    Stretching topless

Not bad, not bad at all!

    Near 9h

    Thank for looking folks!

Hardly! You do great work, and I just didn't know where to post- so I used the Media section as you did. You do some fantastic work yourself, please don't take this as an insult AT ALL.

Long story short me and Hamza got a chance to detail this badboy. Swirls weren't terrible but there were many rids and deeper scratches the owner wanted taken care of. Paint was on the low side reading around 100-120, and it was odd to see so little metal panels on the car in general. 2 Meguiars microfiber foam pads later and 9h, it was completed... and then the rain came along. The front of the hood was wet sanded to remove deep scratches and marks.

    Products Used:
    CG Citrus Wash and Clear
    Brown Royal Wheel Cleaner 2:1
    ONR Clay Lube
    Ricardo Clay
    IronX
    OPT Opti-Bond
    CG Barebones
    OPT Metal Polish
    P21S Polishing soap
    M105+M205
    Permanon Platimum
    Blackfire Wet Diamond

    Before shots:

    That german brake dust...

    Could definitely look better!

    Swirls on swirls

    And again...

The plan of attack for the wheels. Going to battle it out.

    During Shots:

When do you foam? "When I get bitten by a stray dog."

DIY foam gun does the job alright, its dwelling!

Sun made its visit a few times... German rivalry across the street.

Nasty wheels, and MB really chose some horrible lug nuts they look 30years old already!!

Looks clean enough to you right?

Wrong! IronX doing it thing on the barrels.

    SHINY!!! No dressing yet though.

Real thick mitt! Super soft too, easily gets into all the crevices compared to a sponge.

    Exhaust before...

After. It was actually very shiny, but it was warm from the drive.

Oddly enough this side was cool, and looked a ton better during photos.

    Post-Wash.

Its just the photos... paint was far from perfect.

Trying to get get it bleeding... black is very impossible to see IronX working

    Photo creds to Hamza.
