well, i got my GTR corner balanced last year, i got 50/50 cross weight AND 50/50 side to side

I think you guys are way off. What you see is just an FMIC, just not the standard long and low shape. The configuration on this car is actually more efficient at cooling the charge than the "traditional" design.

The length of intercooler piping going from the cooler to the turbo would be pretty short, which means instant cooling/ less bends and length for the air to travel through.
