  • Nice little DIY for Nick and Sean>>>

Gotta love ebay I tells yas!

You are bidding on the super rare impossible to find 2003 Ferrari Enzo, with only 353 actual miles, V12, 6.0L. It comes with Ferrari luggage as well. This vehicle has very repairable front end damage and will start and run. Vehicle is located in Tampa Florida and comes with a rebuildable Florida salvage title. The Insurance company paid out 1.3 million dollars on this vehicle.

I couldn't afford to maintain it even if I could afford to rebuild it!

God it's sad to see such a nice car crashed. Easyly repaired, yeah right. Saw on TV some show that said just the normal maintenance on an enzo costs like 700$ so not the cheapest car to own.

            OWN3D!!!!!!

That's sad that some guy bought that for $750,000 and the insurance company paid out 1.3 Mill. They gotten taken on that deal. Since when do insurance companies pay out more than the original price the car was bought for? However it's good to see that insurance companies get ripped off sometimes.

As for easily repairable? I'd be surprised if you could even afford the C/F shell, much less find a replacement one. I'm not entirely sure Ferrari will have those sort of parts available, otherwise it would have never been written off.

I'm pretty sure its the appraised value, not the list price. Heck, I cannot even think of the last time one of these limited production supercars ever sold for "list price"

I think whoever buys this car will be looking at some innovative custom CF fab work. Should be doable, and the end result should be well below the msrp for an enzo. Repaired with oem parts or not it will still be a very desireable car. Look at all the bids! I'm sure some well heeled enthusiast out there can buy it for (relatively) cheap, CF-it back up to regular specs, and then have a kick ass privateer racer!

I believe I read a story a little while ago about Ebay cracking down on certain types of sales, including auto salvage sales. Perhaps this is a victim.

Jz, all Enzo's were sold for list price directly from Ferrari of Italy, any higher prices were as a result of someone then selling the Enzo they bought. The whole Ferrari program was designed so that people wouldn't be selling Enzo's on Ebay or auctioning them off soon after delivery. That's why they were sold only to buyers who had a history of owning Ferrari's. Namely those who have bought 2 or more Ferrari's and are generally a good customer. The list price for an Enzo was something around $600k, a friend of mines friends Uncle lives out in B.C. and bought an Enzo, you might have seen it if you ever watched "Rides" he had custom rims made for it. Anyways the price he paid for it was $750,000 Canadian.

I don't know any insurance companies that send people cheques for the "list" price or "appraised/market" value of cars they wrote off. Had I written of my Lancer 2 days after I bought it, I wouldn't be entitled to how much I paid for it, I'd be entitled to a lower value.

Unless the guy who wrecked the car managed to fanagle some ridiculous policy that insured the car for the "current market value" of the Enzo, which by the way is $2.5 Mil not $1.5 Mil, then he's a genius and they're idiots for giving him a cheque for that much, when he spent alot less for the car in the first place.

                      Umm...

He already owns one... and a couple of F40s, and an F50... and God knows what else that aren't just Ferraris...

OT- JZ- I just picked up the FX45 last week... I haven't had this much fun in a stock car in a long time! I highly recommend one to anyone who needs the space of an SUV with the drivability of a 350Z... I heard rumors from someone that NNA slaloms the FX45 fastest in their lineup!
