          IBTS? Individual Throttle bodies?

"The cylinder heads appear to be a conventional DOHC design. But each cylinder bank has its own separate intake plenum and throttle body."

It seems to indeed have Individual TBs

They meant individual per bank of cylinders for sure.

I'd like to critique the engine bay though.

                  1. Whats with that huge ugly ass coolant reservoir up front.
                  2. Whats with the dirty socks on the PS pump?
                  3. Those cheap 1G Talon blow-off valves are gay.

Generally, the look is kinda ugly, no CF? No polished stuff? no funky engine cover?

The aftermarket will do well with dressing this up.

While I'm SUPER impressed with the engine spec's, I'm not feeling the over all look of the new GTR. The Skyline has always had that very distinctive look and while I know how the "new look" of cars is now a days, it's just to close to the G35 and Fair Lady. That being said, I'm sure it's nothing a new body kit couldn't change .

yeah man, what the hell happend to the front end they showed in this version!?

^^^this is so much nicer than the one they have on the "official" production car....but as you said, im sure they will make that^ front end as an after market body kit/bumper anyways. and those headlights too......

                          ^^^^

Thats the pic I remember seeing and who knows, maybe it'll be some upgrade option or what not cause I know I'd spend the extra money for that front end. It gives the car a more GTR feel/look to it for some reason.

My guess is to wait for the Vspec version later 8)

yeah man, its so true, i look at this one, and i feel the GTR-ness of this "GTR" (lol):

...but this thing , i have no idea why they went with this front end....the wird headlights, and the weirds bumper slits at the sides....it just seems so plain...and GTR should give a 'BAM' feeling, something distinctive.

..i dunno, this front end isnt THAT bad, but the first oen is better i think....and im sure theil have the First Styl of the fron end either through after market, or in futures models of the GTR.....when it comes time to 'updates' the car after a number of year....

i saw a pic of the GTR (production style front) in a sort of Gunmetal Grey color, and i must say, its looks awesome with dark paint. but i cant find it anymore....

Heres one in RED (not bad either):

                              what do you think?

and two last random pics, which are pretty sweet:

By the way, has anybody noticed that the new GTR sports the same tires that are on the STI?:-P

...in the end, i think it will still blow me away the first time ill see it on the roads.....the front end they went with isn't AS attractive as the one from the proto, yet its still pretty nice....and i really love how the new GTR looks, and its performance figures.....its defiantly on my list for future cars to buy
so well see how it looks in real life!

                              I LOVE THE NEW GT-R!!!
