I've heard from a friend (Alex) that the Japanese people dont let these puppies go outside their country very much...something like keeping them for memorabilia or nostaliaga (since all that money have been spent on keeping them in the country in the first place) with all those old cars laws.
Correct me if I'm wrong, But they dont go for cheap on auctions site.
Gotta love those !!!!
I'd even be happy owning a slomatic 3 spd 4 door regular 510...(But it would not stay that way for long...I can assusre you that !!!)Trueno\'s the name,
Going sideway\'s was my game...

If you are in Japan and you plunk down hard-earned cash to buy anything including an old Hakosuka Skyline, the Yakuza are not going to chase you down if you are gaijin (foreignor) to make sure you don't take it out of country. There is no conspiracy or policy to try to keep Hakosukas in Japan and NOT let them out of country. In fact, a buddy of mine took one to the states back in 1998 from Okinawa.Originally posted by Unlucky MenaceI've heard from a friend (Alex) that the Japanese people dont let these puppies go outside their country very much...something like keeping them for memorabilia or nostaliaga (since all that money have been spent on keeping them in the country in the first place) with all those old cars laws.

If you don't see many that are exported, that is because not very many gaijins have brought them out of country. They tend to be more interested in the newer, higher-tech models.
No, they don't go for cheap and neither do old Z's. You will probably NEVER see an old Hakosuka GT-R (real one not a badge) with the S20 engine for sale. They are collector's items now and go for BIG $$$$$.BNR32 Owner

it depends on condition and engine. I think average price for a decent L28 equipped S30 starts in the 1.8 to 2 million range. Not my area of expertise but these are the price ranges have noticed.
KPGC10 & KPGC110s with S20s are very rare and very expensive. I've seen a few on sale and prices seem to be around 5.5-6.5 for a KPGC10 and over 7 million for the 2 KPGC110s I've seen.
I love both these cars and its a dream of mine to add them to my collection at some point, one of them at least!
