  • I hit a rabbit with the skyline.

I was going down the nice twisties near my house not speeding but fast none the less. And I see a rabbit stopped dead in the middle of the road. Breaks lock so I let go to avoid smacking the gaurd rail I hear a thud uh oh. Slow down. check didnt see anything it was dark. Look over hmm maybe I missed him or he went under. So I continue my drive home. When I get home I get out and look again there is blood on my license plate. Uh oh. So I kneel down cause I notice the cars bleeding. and I see something that will be permanently engraved in my mind for the rest of my life. The poor guy was sitting in my grill he was stuck to my a/c condensor/rad. Poor little guy. I got him out and buried him the the garden. Then I saw wow the blood had gone through the rad, and hit the fan blade wish my camera worked but the bay was covered in blood!.
    Then I cleaned in

So thats it, watch out for furry little animals Skylines like to eat them NOMNOMNOMNOM

Should have just hit it from the beginning, no trying to avoid such a small animal, it will just cause harm to you. If it was a moose or elk... thats a different story, take the guard rail;-)

hapenned to me with my 240sx 2 years ago....i was on a strait road when a rabbit came out of no wear and tried to avoid my car ....but instead of just running across the street, he hesitated witch cost him is life. my friend were following from far and heard metal scraping on the ground ( my lip bracket went to the ground) so they laughed at my car but when i stopped i told then i had hit a rabbit....so since im of a curious nature i went back to see the poor guy.....(readers discretion be advised) the little bunny was opened in 2 with neck broken and an out of orbit eye .....at least he flew back on the sidewalk so he didn't get passed over and over again.... btw I might sound a freak by telling that but i love animals and i felt really bad after that....but my therapist told me to talk about that to the public so i can stop think about it ( the therapist part is a joke ) but the rest is true

Wow, amazing how bunnies end up in front of our cars. I was ripping down a back road a bit out of town last year and came about 3 feet from hitting a white bunny. It was pitch black and I know he was white, that's how close he was.

Couple months before that was driving (not fast) in town and someone had dropped all their garbage in the middle of the road. The garbage appeared to just be magazines and newspaper but when I swerved to avoid hit something that made a loud chopping sound all the way down the length of my car.

Car appeared to be alright (didn't stop to check) and headed to work (was running late). When I pulled into work, hopped out to see if there was any damage. Nothing on the bottom but was missing my passenger side side panel!!! The plastic one that is right before the rear tire. Man was I pissed. Ripped back up (way too fast) to where I hit that garbage only to find my fender flare in one piece but missing some paint . A quick investigation of the scene found a lawnmower blade!!! Man was I pissed. Pick up your damn garbage! Putting the panel back on was pretty easy though, but the paint is still chipped off.

I had to pry a bird out of my grill before. Flew strait in. Head stuck, and the rest of him was just sticking perfectly out of the grill, Looked like he was still in mid flight and everthing. Took me forever to get all the feathers out :P

in the past 3 years i have hit a coyote, a cat and a bunch of "suicide" birds...

the coyote was hit while i was driving on a highway, damn thing jumped a rail right into my car... no blood but i did knock the poop out of it...

the cat was hit while driving a nice winding back road just before sunset, the passenger saw the cat in a field beside the road running towards it... then he said," watch out, CAT!!!" THUDDD, well i turned the car around to see if it was ok, i knew it wouldnt be, while driving slowly past it a truck came by and made it into road pancake... so much for moving it off the road...

and the suicide birds... i have hit too many to count, you know the birds that are on the highway, and then fly off just before you run them over... those are what i call suicide birds... one time i had to pick out 5 of the lil suckers from the work vans grill...

yeah I hit a cute little bunny 3 or 4 days ago in my GTR.

                  cracked my front lip

it was raining, was NOT going to risk swerving. I tried to straddle it but no luck.

A rabbit ran out in front of my skyline on a downhill corner on old banff coach road (calgary guys will know what I'm talking about). I locked up the wheels for a sec and missed the bunny, woke me up pretty good though, just glad I didn't have to deal with what you saw...

Last August my Godzilla ate Bambi. It was either kill Bambi, swerve into oncoming traffic or hit Bambi's mom and go into a 6 foot ditch... So I braked as hard as I could and sucked it up. I needed a new hood, driver's side fender, lights (corners as well), grille, bumper cover and rebar. No mechanical damage, thankfully, just cosmetic. Now she looks better than ever though, so it's not all bad.

A done-up Honda Del Sol that parks around my house, I know the owners brother, hit a Raccoon too and it took out the entire center of the front bumper, just like he had run over a concrete divider or something.
