  • My NSX at Calabogie Motorsports Park

Wasn't sure if this should be posted in OT but I think the Eastern guys can appreciate them more here.

For those of you living in Ontario or Quebec, before you die, please find the time to take your Skyline to Calabogie, easily one of the most challenging and picturesque tracks in North America. People call it the mini-nurburgring.

Had the perfect day last Fri. 15-20 degrees celsius, not too sunny and the car ran like a champ.

Met GTRBubba out there and another GTRCer whose name I can't remember but he used to own a GTSt and was an instructor out there (pleaswe contact me if you read this!!!).

    Looks fantastic JZ!

Good to see no pesky RS4 behind you. Was traffic typically as sparse as in the photos?

    Cheers,

Actually traffic was pretty bad that day, but the Motorsports Club of Ottawa did a great job in spacing everyone out. It was my first lapping day of the year, so I was really rusty and this track take forever to learn over again (23 turns, yikes). I hope to do better when I'm back for a more exclusive track day in June.

I go the opportunity to ride along at 'bogie this weekend. It's an excellent track!
Only 6 years old, well maintained, and designed for cooler days (sticky assphalt at ~17 degC).
Some very technical corners, and highspeed sections. I didn't even drive and I enjoyed myself!

On a GT-R note: I noticed a R35 "GOD7ILLA" out there slaying GT3's, if someone knows the guy, looking good!

Nice to have that in our back yard so to speak. Do you know a good place in Ottawa to pick-up a helmet?
