r33 engine and tranny removal

hey at the final stages of removing my engine and was just wondering if it would be easier to take the engine and tranny out as a whole or attempt to do just the engine (note that i do have limmited tools and resources), and im just wondering about clearance issues with the trans. your help on this would really appreciated .

also if for those with experience would prefer the use of an engine hoist or would i be fine with my massive a frame and a chain.
