    Auto X at Western Speedway

Alright, forget building my car for show, Auto X gets first priority. I'm hooked. Went out with GTR-J and McNab. J and I were first timers and we really ripped it up. McNab did a great job keeping his times in line with ours. He had to work a little harder too, because of the lack of awd. Track conditions were poor.

I definately need better tires and need to eliminate understeer. Understeer hurt my times the most.

    Some pics of McNab

Great pix! Glad you had fun on the track. You realize you've just done the automotive equivalent of trying crack "just for fun". Your life will never be the same. (That's not a bad thing though! )

Think torque split controller, some adjustable dampers and adjustable anti-roll bars. You can tune the understeer right out of your baby.

Between 'fixes' you'll enjoy reading Ross Bentley's Speed Secrets series. He's a great teacher and coach. He'll hammer 'smoothness' into your brain and make you faster and faster. You'll also get some ideas on how to adjust your driving style instead of tuning your suspension to get rid of understeer. I say 'Do both!'.

    Cheers,
    Dan

Did my second Auto X today. Huge difference with the new tires. Instead of being 5 seconds behind the leader (jacked up Talon AWD with very schooled driver) to 3 seconds. No pics as I ended up going by myself.
Hopefully someone from the club that put on the event will have some pics.

Now I need to get rid of some body roll. Also signed up for some driver training. Pretty soon Mines and XS Engineering will be knocking my door to be the wheel man in their Time Attack GTR's. Watch your back Tarzan.....I crack me up.
