RB30 FED R.I.P.S. Racing - the full story, to world records

For anyone interested in seeing the story from start to end of how Rob from RIPS Racing built himself a world record racing machine based on the RB30 engine,...Holy god!! http://skyline-life.blogspot.com/201...-on-board.html

    Link here: http://skyline-life.blogspot.com/201...-on-board.html

Personally, I think the craftsmanship is unbelievable, the exhaust on this machine is out this world!! how I envy the people who have managed to acquire cars built by this man.

Good find. Its been keeping me busy looking around the past day. Was checking out the HKS 180 too. Thats interesting. I love to study builds like this and see what other people are doing. Race car builds are my fav. I've always wanted to build a rat rod with a rb30 in it. some day...

    Best quote from that story:

it really has done a huge amount of work and given us over 3 years of trouble free racing with 100s and 100s of runs with a huge amount of them in the 7s, all with 2 oil changes, 1 set of spark plugs and a set of rings and bearings about 15 months ago.

I figured i just HAD to share this with everyone....

Rob finally posted pics of the blown up engine and bits, you can check it out here: http://skyline-life.blogspot.com/201...mage-done.html

Not very often you get a real look at what a massive amount of horse power can do to an engine... It's turned that rod into something that resembles silly putty!

Even more impressive though is that less than a week later, he's already got the engine rebuilt, and running again... For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, you can check out the whole story from birth, to world records, to destruction, and rebirth here: http://skyline-life3.blogspot.com/p/...ps-racing.html
