I would trailer my car out for a paint at this cost.
i too am considering getting my car repainted. does he do color changes, or just resprays?
I was thinking of driving out and trucking it back with teh paint, but in the end, its going to cost as much as any good place here in town.
Mcfly, why dont you just ship your shell out to get painted? that should be a hell of a lot cheaper.

I just had my FRP HKS bumper repaired and painted here, along with the left rear quarter panel. Was a decent deal overall, and the paint looks good. After a professional detailing, the rest of my car matches the new paint.
They were nice guys and did a decent job, my only complaint was that they misquoted how long it would take to paint. I brought it in friday, they said end of the day saturday...they called saturday saying the primer on the bumper needed more time. Fair enough. Then, I get out there monday at 4pm, they said they needed till 6pm. I kill 2 hours, get back and they said they needed more time for it to dry, and to come back in the morning. They gave my a nice courtesy car and apologized...but I think they should have known at 4pm it wouldn't be ready.
They said they were having issues painting another car hence the delay. But when it was initially supposed to be ready saturday, why another car took precedence over mine is beyond me. And it's not my concern that they had issues with another car.
So I finally got the car the tuesday, 3 days after including the weekend. But, overall, the repair job is clean, the quarter panel matches, and the paint looks nice.
Had they initially given me a realistic time estimate, everything would have been fine. I would hope that this is an isolated incident, as their craftsmanship is decent.

Thanks for being GTRC's first customer.
Pics look great, we all know they use 3M for prep, and PPG for paint so the finish will always look great. And yes i hope it was an isolated incident regarding your time quote.
