    Driving a GTR

    OK,
    Officially, I can die...

I just had an amazing hour in a black 2008 GTR.... WOW. It is incredible. I mostly used the manual setting as the auto shifts too early for my liking. I know it can be adjusted but would you do if you had 1 hour?

I drove the express way and did the Osaka expressway loop and back over to Kobe. (there was too much traffic on the way tho). The power was amazing. I wish I had enough time to take it into the real twisty roads to play with the handling more. The owner seemed to love the power it had, which was incredible, I love the handling just as much.

What a blast that must have been!

Thanks for posting. Driving this car is on my 'things to do before I die' list. The other is to beat one on the track with my R32... I figure my edge would be that I don't mind pushing right to the edge, whereas a new GTR owner might have a bit more restraint.

I must say, our 32's feel more like a boy racer compared to the sofisticated 35. The engine was just loud enough to use for shifting, but not too loud... Weird tho, 1st and 2nd clunked abit. As if the double clutch didnt like to work at slower speeds..
Boy did people stare! Enough that a white guy was driving a car in Japan but was driving a new GTR! the car did have the speed limiter removed, it had a small device stuck at the bottom of the console to turn it on and off. (It was off..)

Very nice Mark, congrats! Do you happen to have any more pictures? What did you think of the car in black?

I have about 20 photos but some are slightly repeating. I can resize some more and upload them... (they are hi rez now)

The car was beautiful in black. I also saw silver and white ones there. I also really liked the white one even to I am usually a big fan of silver. It would be tough between the black or the white. (the white is not pure white...)

Sure, that would be great if it's not too much trouble! I would love to see the comparison between the three.
