    PPG gearbox upgrade for R35GTR

    PPG have announced that they have a upgrade for stock R35GTR gearbox to solve the failure problem -

    they should have called it the GR8 instead of the GR6 though...

    yeah, especially when the stock part fails at stock power output!

    Wonder how much it costs, and if a DIY install is possible or if the dealer has to fix it (because of the advanced trans programming - not sure if you could disassemble it at home, R32 transmissions are already pretty complicated)

    They reckon the stock gearbox last's around 12 months with more than stock power -

    Although I think PPG are the first to provide an upgrade. Wouldn't be surprised to see tuners in Japan buying PPG, just like they bought Holinger gearboxes or gearbox parts, like back in the days with R32, R33, R34.
