Basically, I'll post my Kijiji ad with some extra details.
For sale I have a 1979 Corvette L82. I bought this car in April of 2010 and have now chosen to sell it because it doesn't really suit my interests anymore. Actual milage is believed to be below 60,000 km. It is one of 6,707 produced in red for 1979, and has all power options (windows and locks, both of which work fine). It has glass t-tops and the Indy Car aero package. The body is solid and the motor runs perfectly, with no smoke or noise. Transmission shifts smoothly with no slipping. The windshield has no cracks or chips. Has never seen snow. Leather seats and leather wrapped steering wheel.
The car is mostly original with no major modifications. The center console was cut to fit a cd player, and I modified the front kick panels into fibreglass speaker pods (the original kick panels were made of a hard plastic covered in carpet, and the plastic had started to fall apart from being brittle. I am willing to order a set of reproduction kickpanels if that is a must for the buyer.) I will include the speakers and cd player for an additional $400. I also have replacement arm rests in a box of parts as the original arm rests are broken. The park brake cover also has a reproduction piece to be installed as the original had worn through from being used as an arm rest. All the gauges work except the clock (which is typical). The t-tops do leak in the rain, but this is a common problem among many cars with t-tops. The pop up lights work correctly.
Parts that I have (that will be included with the sale or installed for an additional cost) include some polyurethane bushings and a set of adjustable lower rear strut rods, which allow for easier wheel alignments. I also have a rear wheel bearing kit and the power steering ram and valve rebuild kits (these both have minor leaks).
The car does need a little bit of work, and I have purchased all the parts for the repairs it needs. The worst thing the car needs is new rear wheel bearings, which I planed to have done. It also, as stated, has a minor power steering fluid leak. The valve covers are starting to sweat, but I'm willing to replace the valve cover gaskets as well. The paint is also chipped on the rear bumper and in a few other places, but because the body is fibreglass the car has no chance of rusting, and the paint still looks great after being polished. The is a small c hip in the fiberglass on the driver's door due to the previous owner opening it into a curb. The wheels are a bit faded but will probably spruce up after a polish as well.
I'm asking $12,000 o.b.o. for the car as is, with all the replacement parts included for the buyer to install. An excellent winter project, because it doesn't require that much work to be roadworthy by spring. I'm willing to install all of the replacement parts and have all the mechanical work performed before selling for $14,000. I'm very negotiable about these prices, but please don't low-ball.
I cannot offer test drives due to the weather and the rear wheel bearings on the car. If I do end up selling, you'll need a trailer to pick it up, or we can work something out for delivery.
If you want to get ahold of me, message me or email at starwars_199@hotmail.com.
Seeing as this is a GT-R forum, I'll post this here as well - I'm willing to trade for a GT-R plus cash, or any other interesting RHD plus cash (Aristo, Soarer, President, Evo, STi, etc.)

(carpet does not actually have orange spots, those are just from the flash on the cell phone these were taken with.)
