I think the point of touge is to stay close to the leading car throughout the race and at the finish. Similar to drifting.

lol, you obviously don't know touge rules. Skym summed it up basically...

          FAIL.
touge racing is cat and mouse.
car in front = mouse = trying to get away = make distance between the 2 cars
car behind = cat = keeping up = make as little distance as possible.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

Torque can grow after 5250 and does on a lot of engines. Especially rotarys and RBs. I think what you mean is horsepower is a higher number than foot/lb of torque after 5252.

Also, what do you mean torque doesn't matter as much as power? Torque is the actual force accelerates your car.

I was going to just say the same thing

HP and Torque cross over at 5252

Looks like torque can be flatish and not drop off on a RB30DET with supercharger, etc until past peak power -

I wonder what it would look like with a supercharger, etc and 20B rotary engine???

                    20B with supercharger, etc -

                    The 1982 Lemans RX-7 254 racecar looks interesting -

Not a lot of people use supercharges or rotaries since it's so easy to turbo. They have such huge exhaust pulses/flow over a piston engine so it's almost a waste to not use that "free" energy.

I'm currently building an LSX FD which should make that much WHP and have no lag

                          Cool!

LS is not my thing, but I can appreciate a well built car.
