  • Valve Guides

A friend of mine is completely over hauling his engine after an ill advised adventure with a boost controller. Anyway, I was wondering what the opinion was on the valve guides, also what the OEM stock number is for them.
The shop thats doing the engine and head work said that the brass aftermarket ones would likely wear out quicker than the stock cast ones, but we've heard the stocker cast ones are prone to cracking, which his have already. So any thoughts? And getting the OEM part number would be appreciated too. Thanks alot.

You don't want oem valve guides if you are changing them.

Order a set from cosworth, jun, tomei etc.
Stick to finding a set of bronze phosphorous guides.
